The hotel is like a hidden gem in a great location on the High St, making it perfect for exploring the area with children. The rooms are fabulous with lots of original features, pristine, and well-equipped, though a bit cold at times. The dining was good, but some fruit would have been a nice addition. The location is very good, despite being on a one-way traffic system and a narrow street, with good facilities nearby and a lovely pub opposite. An overall great value for money stay.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious with little fridge, and had a very small shower/toilet room, but everything was thought of in terms of amenities.
Service
9.0
The service was spot on time and cooked to perfection.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in a perfect location on the High St, making it easy for exploring the area, and like a hidden gem with good facilities nearby.
Dining
7.0
The dining was available at the property, with classic dishes, but could have been improved with some fruit.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had good facilities, including opposite a lovely pub. The only downside was it being a little cold at times in September.

8.4/10

The hotel is conveniently located in central Ross, making it perfect for exploring the area. The rooms, although a bit dated, provided a quirky and cozy experience. The close proximity to the river Wye and high street shops adds to its charm, but the occasional cold temperature and subtle musty smell may not suit everyone.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were a little cold at times but overall cozy, like being in bed most of the time. They had a dated charm, adding to the 'quirky' experience, akin to staying in an untidy house. However, there was a slight lingering smell present.
Service
9.0
The service was friendly and accommodating, which enhanced the overall stay experience.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Ross and its surroundings. Situated just a brief walk from the river Wye, high street shops, and a lovely pub opposite, it offers a secure and convenient setting in a historic building with intact period features.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast provided was good, but I wished there were more fruit options to enhance the meal experience.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers all necessary facilities for a comfortable stay in a historic setting.
